Tucked away in the peaceful Riebeek Valley, LoveGarden is my tiny, one-woman (plus my partner when I need an extra pair of hands!) labour of love.
Two years ago I decided to turn a patch of earth into a playground for all the old-fashioned, almost-forgotten herbs I grew up hearing about from grannies and aunts around me. Everything here is grown slowly, in small batches, picked by hand, and dried or turned into teas, preserves, tinctures, or ointments the same way country people have done for generations.

You’ll find things like dried and pickled chillies, kooigoed, renosterbos, calendula, cancer bush, lemon verbena, and other unusual plants that you hardly see in shops anymore – mostly because I just love them and think they deserve a spot in the sun again.
I make simple herbal teas for a cosy cup in the evening, fruity preserves for toast, and a few traditional tinctures and salves using recipes I’ve collected over the years. They’re the kind of things you’d find on a farmhouse shelf – nothing fancy, just honest and made with care.
Important note I’m a passionate gardener, not a doctor, pharmacist, or certified herbalist. Everything I grow and make is for traditional, cultural, and enjoyment purposes only. Nothing on this website or in my products is meant to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any illness. Please always speak to your healthcare provider before using any plant for health reasons, especially if you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, on medication, or have any medical conditions.
LoveGarden is really just me, my partner, and a kettle that’s almost always on. If you ever want to place an order, ask a gardening question, or just chat about plants, send me a message – I answer every single one myself.
Thank you for stopping by my little corner of the valley. Hope to “meet” you soon! 🌿
